Personal Message: I am an enthusiastic and dedicated fully qualified teacher who has taught in an Independent Prep School. I am approachable and patient and have a way of making my students feel at ease.
Which subject(s) do you teach?: I teach preparation for the 11+ examination, which comprises of Maths, English and Verbal Reasoning. I also teach Maths and English at Primary level.
Tell me about your qualifications.: I have a B Ed in Secondary French.
What kind of experience do you have?: I have spent the last 7 years teaching Year 3 in a small Independent Prep School. I have provided private tuition for 3 years
How much do you charge?: I charge £30 an hour for Primary level tuition, including preparation for the 11+, within a 10 mile radius. For out of area tutorials, I charge £35.
Where do you teach?: I can teach at home or travel to the tutee. I live in Witham ,Essex but am happy to travel to any area in about a 10 mile radius. These include Chelmsford and Braintree.
When are you available?: I am available to teach from 6pm weekdays and all day Saturday.
Which ages and levels do you teach?: I teach Key Stage 2.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?: As above.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?: Yes.
Tell me about some of your current students.: I currently have five tutees: Two will be sitting the 11+ examination in November and two will be sitting the New Hall examination in January. The final student is just entering Year 5 and will be hoping to sit the 11+ examination next year.

I recommend using the Bond selection of books to re-inforce basic grammar and mathematical techniques. They provide a varied selection of practice exercises with easy to understand words and phrases. Their Verbal Reasoning practice exercises are also invaluable.
