About Kieran
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have a range of experience in teaching from my various roles as coach, tutor and conductor. In these roles I engaged with people from five years of age through to adult learners, providing a solid grounding in basic musical knowledge and skill, working on vocal technique and aural perception. My experience of teaching has taught me the skill of listening with both care and detail, how to communicate often complex ideas in simple terms to my pupils, as well as fostering a positive environment in which they are comfortable to perform. More recently I have engaged with people from five years of age through to adult learners, providing a solid grounding in musical knowledge and skill, establishing a basic knowledge of vocal technique, languages and aural perception.

No.
- Where and with whom did you train?
Under the direction of Gail Pearson, I have performed tenor roles in Haydn's 'The Creation', Schubert's 'Mass in G', Rachmaninov's 'Vespers', Mozart's 'Requiem', Karl Jenkins 'The Armed Man' and Handel's 'Messiah' with large chorus and orchestra. I have also performed on BBC Radio Three, BBC Radio Wales, S4C Dechrau Canu Dechrau Canmol Canmol'. As a keen recitalist I am a recipient of the Sir Geraint Evans Prize,acknowledging my excellent vocal performance in vocal recitals. As a pianist I have performed many recitals in the UK and Europe, a highlight including a recital in Notre-Dame des Neiges, L'Alpe d'Huez with an accomplished violinist from the Royal College of Music.

I am an experienced, caring and passionate singing teacher happy to teach people of all ages and abilities in any genre.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I am a singing teacher based in London. I primarily teach voice, but can teach music theory as well as musicianship.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
Bachelor Degree in Music - BMus (Hons) and Distinction Grade 8 ABRSM.
- How much do you charge?
My usual price is £40/hour, with £5 for travel if necessary. I am happy to provide consultation lessons and can teach in groups if appropriate.
- Where do you teach?
I do not have the facility to teach at my current home so travelling to the student's houses is usually my preferred option. I am situated in between Ladbroke Grove and Westbourne Park but am willing to travel within Central London.
- When are you available?
I teach in term times, on weekday nights.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I usually teach children from aged 6 upwards of all levels from beginner to Grade 8 and beyond.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I usually prepare my student for ABRSM exams, but it is not compulsory. I also teach a little bit of Theory so when the student reaches Grade 5 they are ready to take the ABRSM Grade 5 Theory examination which is required in order to progress to the practical Grade 6 examination.

I am a friendly, disciplined and happy teacher and I can tailor my teaching to what the pupil needs and wants to achieve.
