Personal Message: I teach architectural history and academic research at the university level, and I give constructive input that will help improve academic performance.
Which subject(s) do you teach?: I help students to understand research assignments as well as interpret studio design briefs. Understanding the requirements and developing the skills to succeed in the module is the first step, followed by applying critical thought and contextualised solutions to problems presented in the module. Presentation, formatting, and argument structure in written and visual formats are taught as well.
Tell me about your qualifications.: I have a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Colorado, and I completed my post-graduate Master of Arts in Religious Studies at the University of Kent. I recently completed a Ph.D. in Architecture, and my thesis title is "Gothic Architecture and the Liturgy of Construction".
What kind of experience do you have?: I have worked in construction as a concrete foundation technician, and have taught architectural history since 2008. I have consistently assisted students whose essay writing skills were lacking to achieve superior results.
How much do you charge?: I will review your current project for one hour free of charge. The initial consultation determines how I can best assist you. Subsequent meetings are £20/hr.
Where do you teach?: I teach at any suitable place such as local coffee shops, cafes, or anywhere convenient.
When are you available?: I am available most days of the week except Mondays. Please enquire as weekly schedules vary.
Which ages and levels do you teach?: I teach university level and mature students.
