ABRSM Classical Piano Grades 1 - 4
What kind of experience do you have?: I have teaching experience and also performance experience
How much do you charge?: I charge £20 per hour
Where do you teach?: I teach from my home in an informal relaxed environment, which is easily accessible from Chelmsford, Braintree, Kelvedon, Tiptree, Wickham Bishops, Hatfield Peveral, Maldon and surrounding areas.
When are you available?: Weekdays - daytimes and evenings
Which ages and levels do you teach?: I teach adult beginners and intermediate
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?: Most of my students learn for fun, but I am happy to help students prepare for ABRSM or Trinity Guildhall grades if they wish.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?: No

Where and with whom did you train?: I studied Jazz at evening class for 3 years as well as various workshops.
I come from a very musical family and studied classical piano and flute as a child.
Do you have a personal message for students?: My lessons are tailored to suit the student's individual requirements, and can include all aspects of musical learning in a practical and informal way while working on Instrumental technique, ear training, improvising, theory and music reading.

I incorporate the use of simple well know tunes early on in the learning process and playalong books with backing CDs to ensure lessons and practising at home are more enjoyable. I give students notes from each lesson to aid practice at home.
