- Personal Message
- The requirements of tutoring are personal so feel free to contact me to discuss your tuition needs.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach the violin, viola, piano, music theory and singing to Grade 8 and beyond, but can also help with academic subjects (see subjects above).
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I graduated in a degree from Magdalene College, Cambridge in 2009. I hold ABRSM Grade 8 certificates in violin, piano, music theory, and practical musicianship, a Diploma in singing, and an ABRSM Diploma in Instrumental Teaching. Contact me for more information on my academic qualifications.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have up to 5 years experience of teaching both music and academic subjects.
- How much do you charge?
- I charge £15 for a half hour lesson, and £25 for an hour. If I were to travel to the tutee, I would charge extra fees to cover this, dependant on the accessibility of the area.
- Where do you teach?
- I teach in Levenshulme, Manchester. I generally do not travel to tutees, although there are exceptions to this, if the area is extremely close, or the teaching session long. Levenshulme is easily accessible to many areas such as Withington, Didsbury, Heaton Mersey, Stockport, William Hulme and many others.
- When are you available?
- I am available largely on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I teach beginners to advanced level, and a wide range of ages. I have experience of teaching children from the age of 4 to adults, though I would be open to teaching younger children.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- Although this is not the focus of my lessons, I do have experience in successfully preparing students for ABRSM exams, and helping academic students towards GCSEs and A levels.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- I hold many recent CRB disclosures.
