Personal Message
I have been a professional singer for around 30 year and a teacher for 25 of them! I work with professional singers and actors as well as enthusiastic amateurs and hope that I can help most people to sing. Students can be taken through all the ABRSM exams, or just learn how to work with a microphone, audition for the west end or X factor competitions. More advanced students can prepare for auditions to music and drama school and graduates helped with auditions and keeping technique strong while working. I teach all singing styles.
Tell me about your qualifications.
DRSAM, Glasgow, I studied there for 4 years working with David Kelly before completing formal studies at Guildhall School of Music and Drama studying with Noelle Barker OBE. I continued private studies while working professionally with several distinguished teachers.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have sung in everything from Opera to Concert Halls, Music Theatre to Clubs, Pantomime to Cabaret, and continue to do so I have sung all over the UK and around Europe and Scandinavia. As I have taught during most of this time, I can pull on a huge back catalogue of material and styles to help students.
How much do you charge?
£40 per hour. No half hour sessions.
Where do you teach?
I teach from home. Easy access via bus and underground to North Finchley. Parking off road.
When are you available?
I teach Monday to Friday and run workshops on occasional Saturdays.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach from 15 years and all levels.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Students can work towards Grade 8 ABRSM and onwards.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
I have an up to date CRB check.
