- I give private classical piano tutoring for beginners and advanced players alike or help with practising. I have a good technical foundation and creative approach to piano playing.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- Classical piano
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I have played and studied piano for 24 years.
Bachelor degree in piano performance and pedagogy, Estonian Academy of Music
Music diploma in Hochschule für Music, Köln (Cologne Music Conservatory)
Masters degree and teacher's certificate in Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA - What kind of experience do you have?
- I am a prize winner in international piano competition, accompanied a choir in Avery Fisher Hall, NY and orchestra in Carnegie Hall and played together with some very inspiring musicians.
I have taught during my studies in Estonia, Germany and United States. For the latter I was awarded with a teacher's certificate. - How much do you charge?
- 40 pounds a lesson, which last approx. an hour, 40 minutes for young children as it is usually when they get tired. However I am known to do overtime, as I do not cut a lesson when there is energy and will to continue and there is more explaining to do.
- Where do you teach?
- I teach at students' homes. I am happy to travel within zones 1-3.
- When are you available?
- Monday to Friday afternoons/evenings and whole Saturday.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I can teach the very beginners (for which I've had experience during past 2 years) up to conservatoire level.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- I can prepare them for music auditions at all levels including conservatoire.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- No, but I have no convictions.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
- Internet is too limited for the depth with which I observe and correct piano playing.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
- Not yet, as I just moved to London.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
- As I just moved to London, I do not have any students yet.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- No, as every person is different.
