- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach singing, including technique (resonance, breath control, placing ) and performance skills. I also deliver workshops for spoken voice projection and how to protect the voice in a stressful work environment
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I graduated from Birmingham Conservatoire with both teaching and performance diplomas.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have taught privately for 20 years and working as a singing teacher for Wolverhampton University and Warwickshire County Music.
- How much do you charge?
- Prices start from £28.00 for beginners and under 16's. Most students book one hour at £35.00 and come bi-weekly. I ask pupils to pay for lessons at the time of booking. I can take card payment over the phone.
- Where do you teach?
- I teach from my studio at home in Wylde Green Birmingham, West Midlands near Sutton Coldfield and Erdington.
- When are you available?
- I am available every week day and evenings until 8 pm

- I teach all levels, ages and abilities.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- associated board and trinity exams . Also diplomas
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- I have a CRB certificate.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
- I am a member of the ISM.
- Where and with whom did you train?
- I trained with John Carol Case MBE, Janet Edmunds and Pamela Cooke MBE.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
- I have students at all levels of ability, not all read music. My students comprise of professional actors, dancers, school children, professional musicians, teachers and amateur performers. Some work towards exams or auditions some come to gain confidence or just for pleasure. We work musicals , operas or pop and jazz according to the needs or interests of the student. I usually organize two concerts for my student to give an opportunity to perform in front of a friendly audience. I enjoy teaching people who don't find singing easy as much as those who are naturals.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- I was a very shy person as a teenager. I didn't feel successful in anything. Singing gave me an opportunity to be different, to make a change in myself. Why not see if it does the same for you.
