Where do you teach?
I am happy to travel to pupils' houses for the comfort of learning at home or to teach in my house in Charlton.
I live in Charlton so anywhere in southeast london is good for me and I am happy to travel most places in Southwest London such as Kingston, Twickenham, Hampton and Teddington as I already teach in the area 1-2 days a week. Just give me a call if you're unsure how far I'll travel :-)
When are you available?
I'm very flexible for teaching times, I'd be happy to arrange a regular time if you get in contact with me.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all ages and all ages from complete beginner to degree level.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I think its good to go through the widely recognised ABRSM Grade Exams from 1-8 so I work most of my students through them.
I also prepare students looking to get into a music course at university level.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
No but I can apply for one if you like.
Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I am a member of the Musicians Union.
Where and with whom did you train?
I had private trumpet lessons at Eton College before going the the prestigious Trinity College of Music.
Whilst at Trinity I trained with the country's best such as Steve Waterman and Chris Batchelor.
I also have had lessons with some of my favourite trumpet players from New York such as Alex Sipaigin and Nicholas Payton.
Tell me about some of your current students.
I currently have 2 of my pupils entered for their grade 4 exams, another pupil recently achieved a high Merit in his grade 2.
Do you have a personal message for students?
I am a strong believer that lessons should be fun for my pupils so I strive to find new ways to make lessons fun and enjoyable whilst being very educational.
I'm in my mid twenties, very enthusiastic and really enjoy both teaching and performing around the world.
