- Hello!! My name is Martha and I'm currently studying classical flute at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I am an enthusiastic teacher and really strive to make my lessons as constructive and informative as possible as well as fun!!!
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach Classical Flute and also Music Theory Grades 1-5.
- Tell me about your qualifications.

- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have experience teaching on a one to one, with my students performing confidently in concerts and exams. I also teach in groups and lead workshops, choirs and ensembles.
- How much do you charge?
- I charge £25 per hour for flute lessons, which includes some theory, sight reading and scales as well as pieces and duets. I charge £15 per half hour music theory lesson, in which I go through the ABRSM theory grades.
- Where do you teach?
- I can travel to areas in Central London and the surrounding areas.
- When are you available?
- The times I am available is quite negotiable as I am a student and my timetable is quite flexible.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I teach all ages and standards on the flute and grades 1 to 5 ABRSM theory to all ages.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- I prepare flute students for ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall Exams, Grades 1-8 or if preferred no grades need to be taken. I prepare for Grade 1-5 ABRSM Theory.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- Yes, I was CRB checked this year for teaching in a school.
- Where and with whom did you train?
- I am training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under Philippa Davies and Sarah Newbold. Before this I studied as a Specialist Musician at Wells Cathedral School under Lisa Nelsen.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- Playing the Flute is really really fun, your flute skills can be used in all different genres of music!!
