- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach English as a Foreign Language to young adults and adults wishing to improve their understanding of English and conversation.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I have a Masters Degree in Business Administration and the Cambridge Certificate Course in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA)
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have recently retired from the Army having served a full career in many countries around the world. I have trained to teach English as a Foreign Language to help the many foreign nationals now living and working in UK, to help them integrate into our communities and make the most of their opportunities.
- How much do you charge?
- £25 per hour. This will include most travel expenses.
Group rates for 2 or more will vary - Where do you teach?
- I live near Devizes but will travel to Salisbury, Warminster, Swindon and possibly Bath.
I prefer to teach at my home or in a suitable library, face to face - When are you available?
- Weekdays and most evenings up to 7 o’clock pm. Weekends by separate arrangement.
Online tutoring is something I want to develop in the near future. - Which ages and levels do you teach?
- Young adults and adults
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- I can prepare students for Cambridge FCE, CAE, CPE, IELTS, TOEFL and GMAT (Verbal)
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?

- I trained for my qualification with International House in London.

- I am currently helping Nerea, a Spanish lady working in Salisbury to improve her spoken and written English.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- If you are looking for a friendly but serious teacher who believes in meeting goals, aims and targets, but wants to make learning fun then I will be really pleased to hear from you. I aim to have a student centred approach to teaching and to teach/coach using methods and topic areas that my students find interesting relevant and motivating.
