- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been working as an online tutor for some time now and have always helped peers from other disciplines with the Mathematics required by their degree or work.
I have been a professional freelance DJ for the last 5 years.
I also work as a mentor for the Challenge Network, delivering the NCS programme for 16/17 year olds based in South London, as well as working with young people from North America in India over summer, taking them to volunteer projects and facilitating their educational experience their, and as a sailing instructor, so I have a lot of experience working with young people and getting the most out of their time with me.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Yes, it is a legal requirement for my mentoring work.
- Where and with whom did you train?
I trained at Durham University as well as currently studying my MSc through the Open University.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
I have 4 pupils at the moment; this number usually increases throughout the year at the approach of exams. I would not want to see more than 10 pupils in a week.
All of my pupils are studying A-level maths.
