Hi. I am a 28 year old Maths teacher based in North Leicestershire. My aim as a maths teacher and tutor is always to ensure students enjoy learning the mathematics, engaging in a way which makes the content easier to remember and more useful.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I have worked in schools teaching GCSE and A Level maths for 4 years. I have tutored/taught GCSE maths for Edexcel, OCR and AQA, GCSE further maths for AQA and A Level for OCR MEI and Edexcel. I have also tutored for the QTS Numeracy skills test.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Psychology, Physical education and AS level in Accounting. My degree is a BSc Hons in Pure Mathematics from Lancaster University, which I gained in 2006. I achieved QTS in December 2011 following a fast tracked Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP) administered by the West Midlands Consortium at Thomas Telford school, Telford.
- How much do you charge?
My prices are as follows:-
GCSE - £20.50 per hour
A-Level - £25.50 per hour
A-Level Further -£28.50
QTS skills test - £41 for a two hour session (single hours available upon request but I prefer 2 hours for initial session)
Discounts available for bulk bookings - please contact me for further details or a quote.
These charges include up to 30 miles return travel from Loughborough. Additional miles are charged at 20p per mile.
- Where do you teach?
I will travel to any students homes within 15 miles of Loughborough free of charge. Students living most places in East Midlands will be considered. Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, Rugby, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Coalville, Loughborough - please contact to ask.
- When are you available?
I am available Monday to Friday, from 5:30pm and Saturday and Sunday 9am to 5pm. Additional sessions may be available upon request.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I will happily take on students of all ages; whether you're studying for GCSE at school or night school, need some help with A-Level Maths or Further, or thinking if starting teacher training and are struggling with the numeracy QTS skills test.

A positive attitude isn't guaranteed to work, but a negative one definitely will. If you wish to do well in whatever qualification that you're after then all it takes is a can-do attitude and willingness to work hard!
