If face-to-face lessons are not possible I also offer a distance marking service. Students can email me their essays and practice exam answers and I will mark the work with detailed notes, highlighting what they've done well, areas where they can improve and any extra points that should be included to make their answers stand out from the rest. This service is charged at £15 per 2000 words, which is the average length of a full exam paper or two exam length essays. The price includes follow-up email correspondence where I am happy to answer any further questions the student might have. - Tell me about your qualifications.

A-levels: Government & Politics - A, History - A, Philosophy & Theology - A, English Literature - A - What kind of experience do you have?
- I have three years of tutoring experience, and I am currently teaching AS and A2 Government & Politics at Ealing Independent College. I also taught for two months at a school in Kenya in the summer of 2010.
My teaching style is based on my experience of the Oxford tutorial system, a teaching method world-renowned for its effectiveness in achieving the very best results. A central tenet of this system is that the best way to learn is through discussion and dialogue between teacher and student. I integrate this into the structure of lessons, as well as using various exercises designed to help students gain a rounded understanding of their subject, whilst at the same time producing exactly the kind of answers that examiners are looking for. - How much do you charge?
- £30 per hour for one-on-one GCSE and A-level tuition. £35 an hour for degree-level tuition.
- Where do you teach?
- I teach at my house in Harrow and at student's homes in surrounding areas such as Hatch End, Pinner, Edgeware and Watford. I'm also willing to travel into central London for lessons, as I do this at the moment for two of my current students.
- When are you available?
- I'm available throughout the working week, including day time and evenings.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I teach GCSE, A-level and undergraduate students.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- I have an up-to-date CRB.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
- I am willing to tutor over Skype and via email correspondence.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
- My current students include my politics classes at Ealing College, an A-level student studying philosophy, and another studying A-level History and English Language. I am also tutoring a student in Religious Studies, focussing on Ethics and Judaism. I currently have two undergraduate students, one studying British politics, the other political ideologies.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- I am a friendly, enthusiastic person who greatly enjoys helping students realise their potential. I’m a graduate of Oxford and LSE with extensive tutoring experience. I achieved one of the top ten marks in the country at Politics A-level and one of the top five marks in the country at English GCSE, and I'm therefore well aware of what's required of students for examination success.
