- Personal Message
- I am an experienced, friendly and patient piano teacher with a passion for music. I always tailor my lessons to suit the abilities and interests of my students and aim to make lessons fun.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach classical/jazz/pop piano, theory and songwriting from beginners to advanced. I can prepare students for ABRSM (or other board) examinations if they would like to take them. For students who want to play for pleasure I am more than happy to develop a more informal lesson plan. I always make sure that lessons are tailored to suit the interests and needs of each student.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I studied classical music for 12 years and at the moment I am working towards my BA Hons Degree in Popular and Jazz music at the Centre for Music and Performing Arts at Colchester Institute. In 2004 I won a performing competition in popular music in Slovakia - 'The Lyre of Guta'. In March 2011 I won the Canon Jack Award for Solo Piano at CMPA in Colchester.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I am a widely experienced performer. As a soloist and band member I have toured in Europe (Hungary, Slovakia and Germany).
I have years of experience as a private piano tutor as well. I teach students from age 7+ from beginner to advanced level. - How much do you charge?
- I charge £20/hour, or £10/half an hour. Travel expenses may be needed if the distance is far.
- Where do you teach?
- Most of my lessons are taught at students' houses. I cover Colchester and surrounding areas.
- When are you available?
- Monday to Thursday.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I teach students from age 7+ from beginner to advanced level. Adult beginners are very welcome.
