About Amy
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been tutoring maths and sciences at GCSE and A level in London for 14 months. I have experience tutoring a range of students- from children to adult learners and have developed an enthusiastic teaching approach and style, which focuses on the individual student and what they aim to achieve.
I feel my tutoring skills have developed from my previous experiences- even at secondary school I was a personal tutor for a young form group and subject representative for chemistry, both roles involved listening and engaging young people in education activities. I have over a years experience as a voluntary youth worker for disabled children which involved working with people of various abilities and encouraging them to gain confidence and skills in new activities. I also currently hold a role as live-in vice-warden at UCL halls of residence which involves building raport and friendliness with a range of students, and supporting them in their transition away from home and into university life. In this respect I am quite well-equipped to advise on many aspects of university applications.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I am regularly CRB checked as part of my clinical work as a medical student and through my role as live-in vice-warden at UCL accomodation.

I'm a medical student in my 5th year at UCL. I have over a years experience of tutoring students in science subjects at a range of levels, and use an enthusiastic approach to engage students with their subjects and help them reach their study goals.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I am currently looking to tutor students in: GCSE maths, biology; A-level biology and mathematics; interview preparation and personal statement advice.

Undergarduate in MBBS Medicine at UCL
2:1 iBSC in Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Science at UCL
A2 Level: As in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Geography
GCSE: 9A* in Mathematics, Science double award, English Language, English Literature, German, Business and Communication Systems, Textiles, Geography and 1A in History Additionally I recieved good BMAT and UKCAT scores prior to admittance to medical school.
- How much do you charge?
I charge a cheaper rate for longer teaching sessions.
£22/hour for GCSE, £25/hour for A level for the first hour
After which I charge £18/hour for GCSE, £20/hour for A level
- Where do you teach?
I prefer to tutor students in their own home, who live within an easily commutable distance from camden town or camden road stations.
- When are you available?
I am available most evenings from 17.30/18.00 (depending on location), although my study timetable varies. I will be away for a month from February, during which time my availability will be limited to weekends although I am prepared to give subsidised teaching via skype to the relatively long term students.

I am currently interested in tutoring those studying for GCSE and A levels.
