I am Meg, I love working on music/violin with people especially with children. I would love it to be inspiring for both of us.

Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach the violin. I can teach both in English and Japanese.


Tell me about your qualifications.
I graduated from the Royal College of Music (Sir Peter and Lady Walters Award Scholar), obtaining BMus and MMus degrees.


What kind of experience do you have?
I have worked with all kinds of levels of people from beginner to Grade 8 level.


How much do you charge?
I charge £35.00/hr.
For consultation lessons, I charge £15/hr.
Travel expenses are all included in the fee.


Where do you teach?
I teach at students’ homes.


When are you available?
I am flexible anytime, any day. I would love to teach on seasonal holidays too.


Which ages and levels do you teach?
I welcome all ages and levels.


Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
Yes, I do.


Where and with whom did you train?
I studied at the Royal College of Music, London with Prof.Itzhak Rashkovsky.
Before then, I studied at The Purcell School with Prof.Krzysztof Smietana.


Tell me about some of your current students.
My students have a few concerts per year, some by themselves and some with other students. It is especially fun having Christmas Concert followed by lots of lovely foods and sweets! I always encourage my students to have performance opportunities as I believe it is important for them to know how wonderful to share music with their family and friends and how much they love listening to them play.
