- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach all sciences up to GCSE level as well as teaching maths at key stage 3.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- Qualified here in Oxford with a BSc in Biology, and of course have a Secondary science PGCE.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- A whole raft of experience, some of which even relates to teaching! I have worked in several school, and tutored many children, both her in the UK and have done some work in other countries. Students find me interesting and engaging, which is the first step in getting through a lot of work of work and making considerable progress in a short time, the perfect set-up for private lessons!
- How much do you charge?
- £30 per leeson.
- Where do you teach?
- I work full time in Gosford Hill school in Kidlington, working as a full time science teacher in the busy science department there. I am also involved in many extracurricular activities in the school.
- When are you available?
- I am available any evenings and on weekends.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- teach years 7 up to 11 in science,
and years 7 to 9 in maths.
I wold also consider teaching younger students depending on the requirements of the students in question. - Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- GCSE, BTEC and SATS.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- I have a currently valid, enhanced CRB. I work as a full time teacher, and this is a requirement for all teachers in the UK.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
- Last year I worked for a sustained period of time, teaching science to a year 9 student, coaching her for entry to a private school, which she gained entry to.
Coached a year 9 student for her maths SATS exams, in which she achieved a level 7.
Taught a year 7 student in maths, enabling her to raise a set throughout the year.
