I am a cellist in Hammersmith, and I offer enthusiastic and motivational cello lessons and tuition to pupils of all ages. I strongly believe that music is something that should be enjoyed by all!
Which subject(s) do you teach?
Music - Academic and Instrumental (Cello or Chamber)
Maths - Up to GCSE
Tell me about your qualifications.
I achieved Grade 8 on the cello in 2005
I have A-level Music Grade A, and Maths Grade B
I graduated from Royal Holloway University of London with a bachelor of Music (Hons) in 2010
What kind of experience do you have?
I have had a large amount of performance experience in solo, ensemble and orchestral situations. I have also had the opportunity to work with and coach young musicians in a strings club and a youth orchestra. My interest in conducting has enabled me to communicate positively and effectively to musicians. Having studied at Royal Holloway, University of London I have gained large amounts of teaching and academic experience which I am keen to pass on.
How much do you charge?
I charge £25 p/h for all my tuition. Lessons for any other duration can be adjusted accordingly and fees can be negotiable.

I offer a free 20 minute taster session to all my pupils.

Travel costs are included.
Where do you teach?
I can teach in the home of the student, or in an arranged venue. My preferred venue is in Fulham, adding £5 p/h to lesson cost. Please ask for further details.
When are you available?
I am available most mornings and afternoons, and some evenings.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach Primary, Secondary and Adult pupils. I teach from beginner level to grade 8. I do not make pupils sit exams, as often they want to learn for their own enjoyment. I like to think that am flexible to all of my pupils needs.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Academic: Any major examination board.

Instrumental: ABRSM Grades 1-8
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
Awaiting Confirmation

In the meantime I request that any pupil under 18 has a representative adult with them throughout the lesson.
Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I am able to check and mark work online via email.
Do you belong to any professional organisations?
ABCD - Association of British choral directors
Where and with whom did you train?
I have had extensive training since the age of 8 with my local cello teacher, Elizabeth Anderson. I am very fortunate to have had such a professional teacher from an early age, and I have learned a lot from her teaching methods.

I also trained at Royal Holloway in performance with Erik Levi.
