Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach the Piano, Theory, Musicianship and Singing. I also coach professional singers on operatic and concert song repertoire and accompany performances, auditions and assessments of all kinds.

MMus (Master of Music), Trinity College of Music - Distinction
PGDip (Postgraduate Diploma) in Piano, Trinity College of Music - Distinction
Piano Diploma, Conservatoire of Athens - Distinction
Certificate in Theory of Music, Conservatoire of Athens
City and Guilds Level 3 PTTLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) Award


What kind of experience do you have?
I am a music lecturer at Morley College of Adult Education (courses: Piano, Keyboard Skills and Score Reading, Improve Your Singing Performance) and the piano accompanist of the Morley College choir. I also accompany performances of the Morley Opera School and the Music Access to Higher Education course and assess final performances of the piano students at Morley College.
I am also a professional repetiteur (rehearsal pianist and vocal coach for opera companies) and have trained at the National Opera Studio and the British Youth Opera. I have also had an extensive collaboration with amateur and semi-proffessional choirs - at present I work for the Royal Opera House Education as accompanist for the newly-formed Thurrock Community Chorus and in the past I have also worked as choral accompanist and assistant musical director of the Docklands Singers and the Koruso community choir.
As ballet pianist I have worked with the New Adventures company based in Sadler's Wells.


How much do you charge?
I charge £30 p/h for piano, classical singing, theory and musicianship and an extra £5-£10 for travelling (depending on the distance).
I offer half-price induction lessons for new students.
Discounts for group lessons/ pairs of students etc negotiable.


Where do you teach?
I mainly teach at home (within walking distance from Westferry DLR or a short bus journey from Canary Wharf and Mile End tubes) where I own an excellent Yamaha piano and a library of music books, but can also travel to other homes in the Docklands, Limehouse, Wapping and Hackney areas.


When are you available?
I am available on most weekdays.


Which ages and levels do you teach?
Piano: All ages/levels up to Piano Diploma level
Theory: All ages/levels up to Grade 8
Singing: All ages/ beginners and intermediate only


Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I can prepare piano students for all recognised ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall examinations, from Grade 1 to the most advanced piano Diploma exams and auditions for studies at music colleges.
I can also help singers prepare for all recognised ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall singing exams of all levels and any music students for their ABRSM Theory/Musicianship Graded exams.


Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
Yes.

Where and with whom did you train?
Trinity College of music and Conservatoire of Athens. Piano teachers: Douglas Finch, Eugene Asti (Trinity College of Music, London).


Tell me about some of your current students.
I teach the piano, theory and singing to students of all ages and levels. Many of them have received certificates from the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) with excellent results. Some of them wish to continue to advanced piano qualifications and others simply learn the piano for their personal enjoyment.
