About Molly
- What kind of experience do you have?
In my subject, I am both highly qualified and confident. In my teaching, I have been working for the past two years (including teacher training) as a classroom teacher in an Essex secondary school where I teach both English, and Media Studies from KS3 to GCSE level. As a classroom practitioner, where I deliver engaging and motivating lessons on a daily basis, I am confident in adapting my teaching to include different types of students, from students who speak English as an additional language,, to students who have special educational needs. Additionally, as a GCSE teacher, I am confident with exam criteria and mark schemes.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I currently hold a DBS/CRB check and am safeguard trained, so therefore I am permitted to work with children and vulnerable adults.

I am an enthusiastic and friendly classroom teacher who is passionate about both my subject and teaching. My goal is to make my subject enjoyable, accessible and rewarding for students and tutor them to achieve their maximum potential.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach both English Literature and Language from KS3 to GCSE.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I graduated from Middlesex University with a First Class Hons in English Literature and Language and went on to complete my PCSE in Secondary English the following year with TKAT SCITT, passing with Outstanding.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £30 per hour. For two hour tuition slots, I will give a discount at £55. Similarly for tutoring two children, I will charge £55 with additional £5 off for each additional child. I am willing to travel to areas in the inner London/outer Essex areas, however there may be a travel cost.
- Where do you teach?
I live in the North Weald area of Epping, Essex, and work in Loughton, however I am happy to travel to Harlow, Ongar, Theydon Bois, Buckhurst Hill, Chigwell, Waltham Abbey, Woodford, South Woodford, Ilford and Romford. I am willing to teach both at the homes of students, or in my own home, depending on what is easier.
- When are you available?
I am available to tutor weekday evenings, weekends and school holidays.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach ages 11-16, from KS3 to KS4. I am however willing to teach SATS level work if needed.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I prepare my students to be confident for their English GCSEs and mid-term assessments (if in KS3)
- Do you have a personal message for students?
All of my students will come on a journey from our first session to our last, where you will learn a whole new set of skills, tips and techniques which will help you become more confident in English. The aim is to make it fun, entertaining and memorable while we do so!
