- Personal Message
- I am a classically trained professional harpist, performing as soloist, chamber musician and also with orchestras. I love to teach, and I believe the best way to improve is to have fun while learning.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach the harp (pedal and/or lever) and the piano. I speak English, German and Hungarian, so all lessons are available in these languages.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I have a Master of Music in Harp Performance and Teaching Diploma from The Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest - I graduated there in June 2010.
I have also studied at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (with Jana Bouskova) and at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. - What kind of experience do you have?
- I was a harp teacher trainee for an academic year at the Bartók Béla Secondary School of Music Budapest.
Currently I teach privately in London. - How much do you charge?
- I charge £30 per hour for both the harp and piano lessons. My transportation costs are not included in this price; if I travel to the tutee I charge £5 extra.
- Where do you teach?
- I teach the harp at my home, or at the tutee's home.
I live relatively close to High Barnet tube station and I am able to give lessons in North London and Central London. - When are you available?
- I am very flexible concerning my teaching days. At the moment I am available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays (until the afternoon), and Fridays.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- All ages and levels are welcome from beginner to advanced!
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- No, but I can apply for one if there is a need for it. I have a Child and Youth Supervisor Certificate from Hungary, however.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
- Yes, I am a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM).
- Where and with whom did you train?
- I was fortunate enough to have been able to study with many internationally recognized musicians, and I would love to pass on this knowledge. I studied the harp with Andrea Vigh in Hungary, Jana Bouskova in Belgium, and Adelheid Blovsky-Miller in Austria. I had masterclasses and private lessons with Isabelle Perrin, Gabriella Dall'Olio, Ieuan Jones, Isabelle Moretti, Anneleen Lenaerts, Lavinia Meijer, Xavier de Maistre, Marielle Nordmann, etc..
- Tell me about some of your current students.
- I have both children and adult students.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- Britain has century's worth of history with the harp, and learning this instrument is not more challenging than learning the piano. The harp is available in different sizes, therefore it is also comfortable for young children to play.

Let's Play the Harp!
Let’s Play the Harp! I would like to give a little encouragement for those about to decide starting to learn the harp as a new instrument. If you haven’t had a chance to try out a harp by yourself yet, you will soon find you will love to do it! The harp is one of the oldest instruments in the world: it even existed in ancient Egypt. It took...
