Which subject(s) do you teach?
Maths. I have enjoyed studying Maths myself and my favourite teachers were all Maths teachers!

Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a BSc hons in Maths, Statistics and Management (first class). I also have a M.Sc. in Decision Modelling and Information Systems which is Maths and IT related.

What kind of experience do you have?
I have worked in a private tuition centre while I was at university and have done one-to-one tuition privately as well. Last year I did some work in a secondary school and now I am tutoring again.

How much do you charge?
*Please note: Online Tuition for 'boys & girls'. In person tuition for 'girls' only.
Online Tuition Rates:
Key Stage 2: Year 6 (only) Primary (£12/hr)
Key Stage 3: Year 7, 8, 9 Secondary (£15/hr)
Key Stage 4: Year 10, 11 Secondary GCSE (£15/hr)

In Person Tuition:
Pricing is per hour per person as I do one to one tuition and group tuition for maximum of 4 pupils.
KS2 - £15/hr
KS3, KS4 (GCSE) - £20/hr
For groups of 3 or more the tuition time is increased from 1 to 1.5 hrs at no additional cost to maintain the quality of teaching.
I think it’s useful to determine beforehand the purpose of the tuition i.e. whether it’s for exam revision only, areas of weakness or general ongoing tuition as this helps to lay out a specific tuition plan for my prospective students. This can be done on phone or in an actual meeting and there will be no charge for this.

Where do you teach?
I provide tuition at my home where I have suitable space and resources such as a whiteboard, desks, chairs etc. My home has a quiet and calm atmosphere so that students can fully concentrate on their work.

When are you available?
Timings:
4pm - 7pm Weekdays
8am - 12 noon Saturday
8am - 2pm Sunday

If you require tuition for any other time please contact me. If tuition is required through Easter, summer or Christmas holidays, this can be arranged.

Which ages and levels do you teach?
I enjoy working with young children as they always have something funny to say. However I also find working with secondary school children (11-14) as they have an enquiring mind and lots of questions!
Age group is 7-14 year olds which include children at key stage 2,3 and 4(GCSE) for maths.

Do you have a CRB disclosure certificate?
Yes I do.

Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
My preference will be to use Skype and other software so that students can interact via a whiteboard when going through explanations and questions. I will be more than happy to instruct what software is required and where this can be downloaded from. All the software I use is free but students may need to purchase a microphone (if they don't already have one) or alternatively type in the message screen.

Do you have a personal message for students?
If you put your mind to something and give it your very best you can most certainly achieve anything. But giving your very best means, organising your time, not leaving everything to the last minute, practising/testing your knowledge as often as possible, building on your strengths, understanding the importance of homework/coursework and finally a little bit of planning in terms of exam techniques and revision strategies!
