I have toured with 3 Theatre In Education companies performing in schools within Germany, Denmark and the UK.

I'm Rachel and I provide quality singing lessons of varied genres for all.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Musical Theatre, Folk, Country and Pop.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I trained at LSMT (London School of Musical Theatre), and graduated with a Diploma. I also did a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts at Filton College, (now SGS College). For the purpose of teaching adults I also did a PTLLS course (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) at City of Bristol College.
- How much do you charge?
I tend to charge £25 per hour one to one. A couple of my students come together to their lesson and I teach them both for the hour, splitting the cost between the parents.
I'm open to considering teaching for 45 minutes as well as group lessons if that helps financially.
- Where do you teach?
I teach from home in Almondsbury, South Gloucestershire. We're close enough to Bristol being one junction from Cribbs Causeway and just off Junction 16 of the M5.
- When are you available?
I am available for teaching on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. I tend to teach after school hours but I can be available to teach earlier in the day on Tuesdays or Thursdays if that helps.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach primary age children (so from 5 years), teenagers, and all the way up to adults.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
LAMDA; Musical Theatre grades 1-8.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I don't tend to teach online.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
I really enjoy what I do and I'm excited about teaching new students. If you're interested in taking lessons with me please do call me or drop me an e-mail detailing the best day and time to call. Once we're in contact we can then have a chat about lessons and a good time to start.
I offer free half hour taster lessons.

I was nervous before my singing lesson with Rachel, but fortunately she was incredibly personable and demonstrated relevant and useful knowledge to help "diagnose" the source of my weaknesses; which she helped remedy with a series of techniques that she helped me understand.
Having had lessons with Rachel, I have progressed well and have the confidence to sing in public with the same confidence I have to sing in the car!My daughters love to sing, but they need help, support, expert knowledge, patience and someone who is able to work with different talent as well as different characters. This is were Rachel comes in; to motivate and help both of them grow their voice, give them confidence and routine. Rachel takes preparation and her students' needs very seriously and has helped to progress them vocally. So if you want people to stop and listen to a beautiful voice, then you need Rachel as your singing teacher!
When I began singing lessons with Rachel, my voice felt rusty and I had all but lost my confidence. That quickly changed! Rachel makes the lessons personal and fun, and pushes you to achieve more without you even realising! Training with Rachel reminded me why I love musical theatre, and I now have the confidence to perform regularly with amateur groups, recently tackling roles such as Maria in The Sound Of Music - all of which I have Rachel to thank for!
