Which subject(s) do you teach?: I teach English, Maths, Science and Art to Key Stage 2 SATs and KS3 SATs, Common Entrance Examination, Religious Education up to Degree Level and intermediate Classical Guitar.
Tell me about your qualifications.: Bachelor of Education Theology and Religion, Honour Degree, specialising in Junior/Middle School Phase
What kind of experience do you have?: 20 years of successful teaching practice in junior, middle and secondary level. 8 years of tutoring pupils from 7 to 13, young adults as well as adults. I have successfully delivered tailor made one to one tuition in a range of subjects.
How much do you charge?: My subject rates are for one to one tuition. Where two or more students are tutored together my rates are £15 an hour extra per student
Where do you teach?: I teach in and around Bicester
When are you available?: Usually from 4pm to 8pm week day evenings, daytime Saturdays, except school holidays.
Which ages and levels do you teach?: I teach from age 7 to adult
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?: I am able to prepare students effectively to KS2/KS3 SATs, Common Entrance at 11 and 13, Guitar to Grade 6, Tuba to Grade 6, Religious Education to A Level and Theology to Degree Level
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?: I have an up to date enhanced 3 year CRB
Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.: I prefer to use Skype or MSN Messenger for online tutoring and can do so effectively in academic subjects such as Mathematics and English
Do you belong to any professional organisations?: GTC
Do you have a personal message for students?: One of my favourite quotes is 'He who dares wins.' Another important motto is 'perfect practice makes perfect.' I like to motivate and plan to succeed so as a professional would wish to plan a course of tuition to suit your needs.
