My Scales/Chords Method,
This method is not for beginners, i usually teach some of it in the first lesson but if you are just starting it's not going to make any sense unless you have been playing some other instrument. The basic idea is that we need to know all the chords and the scales, For each chord we can fit a few scales, once we know the right scale or...
Bass Lessons - Practice Pop Melodies
Have you ever tried to play only the melody in any music style? Pop, rock, reggae, funk etc ... Have you ever tried to play what Michael Jackson or James Brown sing? I know that that's what we do when we practice jazz, sometimes we learn the whole 3 minutes solo, but I think that not a lot of teachers/ musicians apply this in their lessons/...
Music and the brain
There are lots of studies about how music help stimulate the brain, some more accessible than others! We believe that music positively stimulates the brain in people of all ages, and that knowledge of music can be a major benefit to children’s development and learning. Has a piece of music ever made you cry, or tap your foot, or dance? ...

My Testimonials
|
'Nim is a great bassist but also an excellent and patient teacher whose lessons are very good value. I came to him for help with improving my technique and made good progress in only a few lessons. His teaching style is very positive and addresses your weaknesses by giving you encouragement and increasing your confidence in what you can do.' - Tony |

Nim is a very patient and extremely motivating teacher. As an absolute beginner on the bass I really needed a lot of positive reinforcement and patience and I could not have hoped for more. Next to my song requests we easily fit in scales, chords, slap technique and some more theory I was interested in,I had such a good time in my first lesson, that I asked for another one the same week!! Had I not left London I would definitely still take lessons with Nim! - Maria from Austria |
|
you will not find a more patient or accomplished teacher,I couldn't be more happy for picking bass guitar and for picking Nim :) - Rebecca Alden |
