About Manuel
- What kind of experience do you have?
I'm a Pro Guitar Player and a reliable, patient, qualified - RGT Registered - Guitar Tutor with more than 10 years of teaching experience between Europe and the USA. I've been playing guitar with love and commitment for the past 20 years and I like to teach sharing the experience I've gained studying and working with great musicians and professionals, healthy information and of course all my passion and dedication for music!
Since 1994, I've been involved in numerous bands as well as in recording projects, playing throughout Italy and USA in pop, rock, funk-fusion and jam bands, working also as a sideman and composer for independent groups. I had the honor to play, jam and collaborate with loads of professional musicians and artists from all over the world.
I've always loved to teach music and help my students achieve their “rock and roll dreamâ€. For more than 10 years I've been a very patient and friendly teacher, "with an unmistakable laid-back style" (that's what I've been told),  collecting an average of 50 students and 40 hours of teaching per week. I had the honor to collaborate with great music schools such as the Washington DC School of Rock, where I worked as a guitar teacher and music director for the summer session. Some of my pupils are now Berklee Collage of Music alumni, professional recording artists and award winning musicians.
I think that being a teacher is something really serious, it's a calling! Teaching is to share professional experience and guide pupils with "healthy information" through the good musical path, made not just of notes, scales, symbols and sheet music, but lots of different sounds, colours, cultures and emotions. My main goal is to unleash the musical side in my students and open up their consciousness to new exciting horizon!
At the begining of 2013 I moved to London from Washington DC with my family starting a new exciting life. I'm now teaching in my studio in Southgate (N14), in-home around the North and Central London area, continuing working with my USA and Italian pupils via Skype. I'm also focusing on writing my educational method, composing music for independent bands and for my own projects, collaborating with funk-fusion/rock-blues artists, as well.

Manuel's a great instructor. He's a very patient guy and can genuinely help you improve your playing through songs that you yourself enjoy. In addition to regular playing, he also taught me a bit of music theory and fretboard logic. I don't know that everyone else would love these topics, but they really helped me get a handle of the instrument! His schedule has always been really flexible, his lessons customized, his pricing more than fair, and, in addition, he's an incredibly nice, friendly guy!
I was a complete beginner when I first started taking lessons with Manuel. I never played the guitar before, or any instrument for that matter, in my life. I thought I would give it a try and Manuel has been fantastic. He is patient and takes the time to work with each student regardless of the level. In a few short months I am playing at a level that I thought I would never achieve. I recommend anyone wanting to take lessons to give Manuel a call.
Manuel has been teaching guitar to my 9-year-old daughter for a year. He also taught me for several months. We were both complete beginners and Manuel has been incredibly patient with us. He spent his time learning the songs each of us wanted to play and transcribing them for us. He is fun, approachable, and especially good with kids.
I've enjoyed taking guitar lessons from you and feel that I've learned a lot. You are a talented guitar player and teacher. Most importantly, you have helped me develop a stronger self-confidence in my guitar playing through your positive and nurturing style of teaching.
Manuel is awesome! I claimed to know how to play the guitar, but Manuel helped me improve a lot. What I most like about him is that he is not obsessed with the "proper" technique (which he surely knows), but to teach you the technique and the letting you decide how to comfortably play. I recommend him as a guitar teacher for medium-high level students.
Manuel is a great teacher. I spent three month with him. The first time I didn't know how to play guitar at all. After the third month I could play songs and do some rhythms. He is very nice too. Too bad he is leaving, I will miss him.
Manuel is an excellent guitar instructor. When I started, I knew nothing about the instrument or how to play. His method made it both easy and enjoyable to learn. He is always informative and patient, as well flexible in his approach. I highly recommend him!
I started taking lessons with Manuel about a year and a half ago. He's a great teacher that makes learning fun. I'm somewhat of a challenging student because I have some experience, but not much theory background and he has really helped me expand my knowledge base and my playing has really improved.
