Which subject(s) do you teach?
A2 and AS level Chemistry, Access Chemistry, GCSE Chemistry, Applied Science Units, BTEC Units.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I am a graduate of the Open University and studied the sciences whilst pursuing a career in management. I gained a Post Graduate Certificate in Education at the University of Greenwich full time, and am also a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching on Chemistry and Science courses to 'A' level since 2000. I have taught in a large school (one year), a Further Education College (one year) and a sixth form College (nine years). I have had Oxbridge success with several students.
How much do you charge?
The fee for my lessons are: £30 p.h for 'A' level and Access and other level 3 courses; £25 p.h for GCSE and level 2 courses. Top up travel fees for Ryde may be required.
Where do you teach?
I can come to you as long as we are within 10 miles of one another. I am resident in Portsmouth, Hampshire and I will travel to Ryde Isle of Wight, work schedule permitting. Alternatively if you prefer students can come to my home in Southsea.
When are you available?
I can tutor through the week in normal term times including evenings.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
Anyone who wishes to study the courses I teach.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
A levels, Access, Applied Science, and GCSE
