- Personal Message
- I'm an experienced and friendly piano teacher based in South Manchester (Didsbury). I welcome pupils of all ages and abilities.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach piano and theory of music.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- 2004 - 2007: Honours degree in Music from the University of Manchester
2008 - 2010: Masters degree in Piano performance at the RNCM - What kind of experience do you have?
- I have been tutoring piano, theory and composition for several years now, and have taught various levels and abilities of all three. I currently work at the Royal Northern College of Music accompanying vocal lessons, and work as a repetiteur for the BBC. I work in and around Manchester playing piano for all sorts of occasions and events, from weddings to hotel lobby work. I also give recitals in the area, both as a soloist and accompanist.
- How much do you charge?
- I charge (depending on the length of lesson suitable for each individual):
£15 for half an hour (I recommend for beginners up to grade 4/5)
£23 for 45 minutes (for intermediates from grade 4/5 to grade 6)
£30 for an hour (for grade 7 and above)
No charge for travel - Where do you teach?
- I can teach at my house in Didsbury or I can drive to anywhere in the south Manchester area (including Chorlton, Didsbury, Northenden, Stockport, Withington, Fallowfield, Rusholme, and Manchester City Centre.)
- When are you available?
- I am very flexible with when I can teach, with weekday evenings and weekends being preferable.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I welcome all ages and abilities.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
- Again, I am flexible, but should the pupil wish to, I would work towards ABRSM examinations.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- Yes
- Where and with whom did you train?
- Westminster Abbey Choir School under Steven Wray
Kingston Grammar School under Clara Rodriguez
The University of Manchester under Tom Scott
Royal Northern College of Music under Jeremy Young and Colin Stone - Tell me about some of your current students.
- My current students range from beginners to DipABRSM level currently.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
- I look forward to welcoming some new pupils and helping them improve.

Learning how to practise properly, whilst still practising in a fun and enjoyable way is one of the most important lessons I will...
