Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach A-Level Chemistry, GCSE Chemistry, Physics, Science and KS3 Science.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a Chemistry degree (2:2 University of North London 1995), a Chemistry Masters degree (University of North London 1997) and a PGCE teaching qualification (University of Hertfordshire 1998).
What kind of experience do you have?
I am currently in my 14th year teaching secondary school Science. I have taught in a number of schools ranging from local comprehensives, over subscribed comprehensives and a grammar school. I have been an examiner for OCR marking GCSE Chemistry papers for the past 7 years and I have also been tutoring for the past 5 years as well.
How much do you charge?
I charge £40 per hour, inclusive of travel fees if distance-time is reasonable (within 30 mins travel).
Where do you teach?
I usually teach at students' homes, but I can teach at my home if required (WD6), I generally travel to Borehamwood, Elstree, Radlett, Shenley, Barnet, Mill Hill, Bushey and Edgware.
When are you available?
I am available during weekdays (after 6pm). During the weekends and school holidays (whole day or when required).
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach 11-18. KS3 Science, GCSE double award Science, GCSE Triple Science Chemistry, Physics and A-Level Chemistry. I also currently tutor for IGCSE Chemistry.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I currently teach AQA GCSE and OCR A-Level, but I do have experience of all exam boards at GCSE and A-Level.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
I do have a CRB disclosure certificate (as a current school teacher I am required to have one!)
