Interview
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Saxophone and Guitar and cover all the aspects of performance and theory, including instrumental technique, sight-reading, improvisation and aural skills.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I hold a Bachelor of Music degree with honours, and am a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have a background of over 10 years performance and teaching experience. I have taught music to people of all ages and abilities in a one-to-one environment. I also have extensive experience of leading workshops and working with ensembles.
How much do you charge?
I charge £25 an hour to teach at my location, and normally charge around £5 extra to cover travel expenses if you would prefer me to come to you.
Where do you teach?
I teach in the Farnham / Aldershot / Guildford area, and in Greater London, where I am based in Shepherd's Bush. I have private teaching locations in Farnham and London, and I'm also happy to travel to student's own houses.
When are you available?
I am generally available weekdays/evenings/weekends and am normally able to be flexible to suit students needs. I can teach in term time as well as during school holidays.

All ages and abilities.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
I have a full disclosure CRB check.
Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I do not currently belong to any organisations.
Where and with whom did you train?
I graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in 2007, where I studied with some of the greatest Jazz musicians in the world including Stan Sulzman, Kenny Wheeler, Pete Churchill and Tim Garland among others.

Playing music is one of the most valuable and enriching things we can do in our lives. But let's not forget it should also be fun...
