Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Oboe, Cor Anglais, Flute, Theory, recorder and chamber music.
Tell me about your qualifications.
Bmus from the RNCM, Mmus at the RCM. I also have grade 8 oboe, 4 piano,3viola.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have taught all age ranges, in groups or individual. I can adapt my teaching style to what the students needs are, wether that being for pure pleasure or doing exams. I am currently Principal Oboe of the London Musical Arts Orchestra based in St Martin in the Fields along with freelancing with other UK orchestras. I am also the 2nd Oboe in the Symphony Orchestra of India, regularly performing in Mumbai. I won the Barborolli Oboe Prize in 2009 and was rewarded with the Cronshaw Lancaster Scholarship for Wind(2009), and the Henry Wood Scholarship(2010) alongside performing recitals across the country.
How much do you charge?
Fee's are posted above, anywhere outside zone 3 is negotiable due to travel costs.
Where do you teach?
I can teach at my home (which is 3 minutes from Wimbledon station)or travel to students homes, whichever is more suitable for the client. Nearby towns are Putney, Southfields, Fulham, Parsons Green, Earls Court, Parsons Green, Kingston, Southfields . I am willing to travel to most parts of the city upon request
When are you available?
Lesson times to be negotiable, available most afternoons/evening during the week and weekends.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
Any age from 6 up with no top age limit. I teach any level/ability on the oboe/cor anglais, recorder and chamber music from beginner to grade 8 and upto grade 5 flute.
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
All ABRSM grades, auditions, concertos, recordings and recitals.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?

Where and with whom did you train?
I finished my Masters of Music Degree in the summer of 2011 at the Royal College of Music with Christopher Cowie, Gareth Hulse and Christine Pendrill. I have previously studied with Hansjorg Schellenberger, Melinda Maxwell, Hugh McKenna and Rachael Pankhurst. Prior to this i took my pre college education at Chethams School of Music.

A Tune a Day
A Tune a Day by C. Paul Herfurth This is a perfect study book for beginners who have only been playing a few months, especially if the student cannot read music yet. I found it very easy to use as a beginner many years ago and have not found anything better since to use for my pupils.
