About Dimitrios
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have taught all kinds of students, from 5 to 60 years old since 2008. I focus on the need of each student according to what type of music they want to play, from Classical to Popular music. I prefer to adjust to each student's need, rather than forcing my own way of learning.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I have a clear criminal record.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
My youngest student is four years old and my oldest one is 56. With every student I work differently, we focus on different repertoire. I am more than happy to provide references from my current students!

I am an experienced, open minded and creative piano teacher and I am interested in teaching students of all levels and ages. It is never late to learn an instrument!
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I focus on piano and music theory. I also teach Composition for piano and orchestra. I believe that above all, music must be enjoyed thus I am more than happy to provide a general view of music.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I studied Piano Performance at Kingston University, London. I continued at the University of Edinburgh and at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where I completed my Masters on composition for both piano and other ensembles as well as I also focused on performing my piano works. I was lucky enough to receive several important scholarships for my studies. At the moment I teach full time and also compose and perform.

I charge according to the area you live. Please ask me for more details.
- Where do you teach?
I give private tuition at the student's place, a fact that saves precious times for both the student(s) and the parent(s)! It is possible to travel outside London if my timetable allows it.
- When are you available?
There are no specific days or times of teaching, as long it is convenient for both the student and myself.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I accept every age and level. The most important is that the student wants to learn and this is why I am there for! I encourage people to learn classical and contemporary classical piano but I also respect the students who want to learn more popular tunes.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Anything that makes them feel comfortable, I am happy to prepare for all kinds of examinations.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
I am delighted to work with students of all ages and styles.
It is important that you learn piano because it is an instrument you appreciate and love, and that is why I want to make sure that you will feel comfortable with the whole teaching process. Do not hesitate to ask more questions about what I do or even propose yourselves your learning needs with regards to the piano and generally music!
