About Aykut
- What kind of experience do you have?
I was a member of faculty at the University of Illinois of Urbana-Champaign, followed by Yildiz Technical University, until I moved to London this year. I taught computer music and composition. I have played classical piano for 15 years. I also have an excellent drums technique.

Drum set and (unpitched) percussion (funk and rock styles);
Music Technology (production [Logic], notation [Finale], audio programming [Pure Data and SuperCollider];
Music Theory (Classical Harmony, Rhythmics, sight reading,12 Tone Theory, Spectral Music, etc)
- Tell me about your qualifications.
As a composer, my works include instrumental, vocal and electronic music. I have got my PhD degree in music composition. It was about self organisation by means of mathematical techniques to produce musical composition. My minor topic was ethnomusicology; I researched gamelan, central african and korean music styles.
I studied piano and drum-set as well.

Consultation lessons are £15 for 30 minutes.

- Where do you teach?
It depends. I have a digital piano at home. So we can do lessons here. Or I can come to students' homes, as required.

We can do theory related lessons via e-mail correspondances and Skype interview. You should be able to send your paper assignments in digital forms.
