About Tim
- What kind of experience do you have?
As well as working professionally for the Teatro Real, Madrid (as a pianist and conductor) and English National Opera (as a pianist), I spent three years as Assistant Musical Director of the National Youth Music Theatre, have taught at a number of stage schools and musically directed a children's musical in Delhi. I spend my time working with musicians from 7 - 70+ years of age and am equally happy across the board.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Currently not, but I can obtain one if required.
- Where and with whom did you train?
Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Alexander Boyd and Michael Omer
Oxford University with Prof. Michael Burden, Prof. Edward Higginbottom, Prof. Laurence Dreyfus, Dr. Jonathan Williams, amongst others.
Privately with Graham Fitch (Piano) and Peter Stark (Conducting)

Hello! I'm a young, professionally active pianist, conductor and vocal coach with a passion for inspiring others.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I can tutor many areas of music and musicianship: most of my time is spent working as a pianist, conductor and opera coach, but I am also able to teach KS3, GCSE and A-Level Music.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I studied in the junior department of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, before completing my Bachelor of Arts degree at New College, Oxford University.
- How much do you charge?
Usually £30/hour, but am able to reduce to £15/hour per person for group lessons. If you are not within easy reach, I may still be able to travel to you but will ask for travel expenses to be covered.
- Where do you teach?
At the student's home or at a Central London studio (Marble Arch) (a further £17/hour).
- When are you available?
Generally, weekday evenings and weekends. I have a relatively variable schedule so will not be able to teach at the same time, week-to-week, but will endeavour to keep some regularity for students who require it.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
Any age from 7.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Generally ABRSM exams in Piano and Music Theory, and GCSE and A-Level music, but I am able to adapt to other requests.
