About Adam
- What kind of experience do you have?
Teaching - My mother is a highly experienced piano teacher. I have taught a number of her students for short periods of time, mainly before exams. I have taught a wide range, from beginners to those preparing for Grade 8. In Manchester, I am half way through a 2-year teaching course including work with young school children.
Performance - I have performed both solo and with orchestra on several occasions. Performed a concerto with orchestra in Hull City Hall before studying as a student. I also perform regularly as a soloist and chamber musician in recitals in and around Manchester. Have had masterclasses with such prominent performers as Philippe Cassard and Martin Roscoe.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
This has already been approved as a condition for entering the College.
- Where and with whom did you train?
As a child, I learned off my mother up until Grade 8 at age 13. Then with honorary Moscow Conservatoire graduate, Irina Glushenkova until age 18. Currently studying at RNCM with John Gough.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
Currently I teach a couple of young students and an adult pupil who was keen to take up piano again and is doing very well. Have recently finished teaching another adult student, a young school child who was a complete beginner (part of the teaching course), and music theory to a young violin student.
