Hello, I am Sharon Barker and I can help you with GCSE, A Level and Access to Higher Education Psychology courses, as well as Study and Writing Skills.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Psychology GCSE, A Level, Access to Higher Education. I can potentially also help with Psychology International Baccalaureate and Psychology modules in other courses. I also teach Academic Study and Writing Skills.

- How much do you charge?
GCSE: £30 per hour
A Level/Access to HE/International Baccalaureate: £35 per hour
Study/Writing Skills: £30 per hour
I can teach 2 or 3 students together to reduce costs a little.
These fees include my travel costs to your home if it is within 10 miles of my address. Outside this area, travel costs are negotiable.
Fees for online tuition can be discussed on an individual basis.
- Where do you teach?
I teach in students' homes or online. From my base in Manningtree, Essex, I can travel towards the Colchester direction, or over the border into Suffolk towards Ipswich. Travel costs are negotiable if I need to travel further than 10 miles away from my address.
- When are you available?
Availability is to be discussed on an individual basis as it depends on my current bookings at the time of enquiry.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I am happy to teach students from age 14 upwards. I teach Level 2 courses (GCSE level) and Level 3 courses (A Level standard).
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I am happy to discuss tutoring via emails or possibly Skype.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
I aim to work with you in a way that most suits your individual learning style. Focus will be given to the areas of your course that you are finding the most challenging. One-to-one teaching can provide the individual support that even the best teachers in the classroom do not have the time resources for. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals!
