- I am a violinist from Chichester and I will happily teach anyone that is happy to learn.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I teach classical violin to all ages.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- Grade 8 ABRSM, A-level music, going into 3rd year of my music degree currently averaging a First.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- Rachel has studied the violin since the age of 4 and achieved grade 8 ABRSM aged 15. As well as being a soloist, Rachel is also heavily involved in a number of chamber ensembles. She plays first violin for the Wiltshire and Swindon County Orchestra and has recently toured Southern China and Hong Kong with them. She currently plays for West Sussex Opera Company and was recently invited to play for Chichester Pro Camerata. She plays also for The University of Chichester chamber orchestra where she has acted as principle of late alongside soloist Emilian Dascal. As well as being an established classical musician she also plays in a number of jazz and other contemporary ensembles. During the summer she runs a residential orchestral course for youngsters in devon and plays a large part in running a musical theatre based course as well. Rachel is also co-founder of the Amabilé quintet which plays at various events around the country.
- How much do you charge?
- I charge £25 per hour £12.50 for 30mins. However if you would like a consultation lesson (or if a parent would like to see how their child would get on with me) then it will be £12.50 per hour and £6 for half an hour.
- Where do you teach?
- at home, and happy to come to your house if you live in Chichester. However, I don't have a car so cannot travel far but just email me and we can discuss the possibility of travel depending on how many students are living in the same area to teach.
- When are you available?
- Monday/ Tuesday/ Wednesday and Saturdays.

- any age and level

- if you simply want to learn the violin for fun and keep it as a hobby I will happily teach you but equally if you want to take a serious, more focused approach I would love to work with you.
