I am a Russian language tutor based in Canterbury.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
Russian.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I am currently a Sixth Form student, doing the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Russian is my native language. I have studied it for ten years and have won some local and municipal competitions in the Russian language and literature in Moscow.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have taught my fellow English-speaking students Russian from the beginner level.
How much do you charge?
I charge £15 per hour, although the price can be adjusted if it does not fit the student.
Where do you teach?
I live about 7 minutes walk from Canterbury city centre in a college residence. I could teach here in the common room OR at student's home if it is not too far OR the lessons could be arranged in any cafe/pub in the city centre. I could also travel to nearby towns in Kent if the costs for travel were included in the price.
When are you available?
I am available weekdays after 5 pm (sometimes earlier), and weekends at any time.
I am though not available during school holidays.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I can teach any level of Russian.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
No.
Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I could potentially teach Russian online, though I do not advise this way of learning when it comes to languages.
Tell me about some of your current students.
I am currently teaching one English and Vietnamese student at beginner lever. They now know how to write and read in Russian and can communicate in basic sentences.

Russian is not the easiest language in the world. However, having learnt the basics of it, you will be proud of being able to write in beautiful cursive letters, recognise them, read out printed texts and communicate with a Russian-speaking person.
