- I teach Brazilian Portuguese and I also do translations.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
- I hold a MSc degree on Globalization and Latin America Development from the Institute for the Study of the Americas, University of London. I am currently a 1st year MPhil/PhD student at the Social Policy Department at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have experience in teaching languages in Brazil (English as a foreign language) and also in the UK (Portuguese) both at language schools and also privately. Since I moved to London in 2002, I have been teaching Brazilian Portuguese to people that want to learn a new language, have interest in improving their current Portuguese or people that want to learn basic Portuguese to be able to travel to Brazil or other Portuguese speaking countries.
- How much do you charge?
- I charge £25 per hour for tuition from my own home, £30 for visits. Consultation lessons are free (or travel expenses if I visit). The translation fee depends on the kind of material.
- Where do you teach?
- I am happy to travel to most areas of London.
- When are you available?
- I have quite a flexible timetable, so can accommodate most days, mornings/evenings or weekends. My availability for particular days depends more on location and travel times.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- I teach all ages and levels: from beginners to advanced. I also do conversation tuition only, which is good for students that want to improve their oral fluency in the language.
- Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- No.
