- I have been teaching privately for 4 years in Cambridge and London. In addition to my private teaching I sometimes take part in outreach projects in schools, for instance, as part of the Oxford Chamber Music Festival Fringe. I am able to help with any issues of music theory as I studied Music as an academic subject at University. I have a particular interest in chamber music: from a young age I found playing with other musician to be a great source of inspiration, and thus I encourage my students to play with other musicians of a similar level. I have a good deal of performing experience myself: forthcoming concerts include evening recitals at the Wigmore Hall, London, and the Purcell Room, London, and a lunchtime concert at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester. Mental Practice
When learning an instrument we are often told that 'practice makes perfect', but practising badly does more harm than good. It is easy to go through the motions of practice, trying to improve our playing, without getting the results we wish to achieve, and, if we're unlucky, we might even create bad habits along the way. Before we get to this...
