Personal Message
Every musician is different. I am here to help you find where music wants to take you and will guide you all the way as you explore your own musicianship.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach vocals, piano, keyboards, song writing and music theory. Whatever your reasons are for learning music, it is a very rewarding and satisfying experience. Current ability does not matter as long as you have the enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I began my music studies at North Glasgow College, Scotland in 2004 (specialising in Keyboards) at the tender age of 16. Here I studied under Ross Campbell (composer), Keith Burns (The Proclaimers), Ted McKenna (Sensational Alex Harvey Band) and Campbell Owens (Aztec Camera). I knew I wanted to be a musician even then and so once I passed my three-year HND course (winning the main year award for the first and third year) I progressed straight into year three at Napier University, Scotland, where I obtained a BA with Honours in Popular Music studying under Haftor Medboe, Graham Weir and Dr. Paul Ferguson.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching music privately for over three years. It was during my time at University that I began teaching, most notably as course co-ordinator for the Music Monkeys After School Club. I had to devise, prepare and deliver each weekly session to a class of around eight 7-10 year olds. In 2007 I began gigging more intensively which saw me spend the next year and a half in Edinburgh working as a full time musician, composer and tutor. During this time I played all round the UK and internationally in venues such as The MUSON Centre, Lagos, Nigeria; Kokkola Conservatory, Finland; Gleneagles Hotel, Scotland; The Bedford, London, and many more.

I relocated to London in the September of 2010 in order to pursue my music work further. Being in London has always been a dream of mine and I am very passionate and determined to succeed in my career. I like to incorporate this drive into my lessons and pass on my experience of the industry to each of my clients. I am currently a frequent piano player and singer in many London establishments including The Melia White House Hotel, Marlybone; Montague on the Gardens, Russell Square; The Criterion Restaurant, Piccadilly; The Millennium Gloucester, South Kensington and The Novotel, Hammersmith.

I provide all my students with a learning file, where we plan what each session covers and the goal we are working towards (performance, recording, etc.).
