Personal Message
I am well established and dedicated musician with over 10 years experience as a professional singer, pianist and teacher. I work with beginners through to professional performers, introducing a healthy method of singing designed to provide a strong technique that will lead you into any genre of your choosing. I am happy to accompany pupils in lessons which significantly speeds up the initial learning process. I am also available to play for your examinations, auditions and performances. Students have seen significant changes in their technique and ease of singing, and excellent results are achieved in ABRSM, LCM, and TRINITY examinations, and at GCSE, A-Level, undergraduate & postgraduate level examinations.
Which subject(s) do you teach?
Singing: Classical, Pop and Music Theatre singing.
ABRSM, TRINITY and LCM examination boards all covered.
From beginners to diploma level, any age and experience is welcome.

Theory: Grades 1-8 covered. Grade 5 theory is a specialty!

Aural Development: For singers and instrumentalists.
Aural tests are a major part of any music board examination and the marks can mean the difference between a merit and distinction in your overall
score. Simple techniques and methods can improve your approach and response to aural tests increasing your overall mark.

GCSE & A/AS level tutoring:
Essay writing, recital programme design and note writing, performance coaching and composition all covered.

Tell me about some of your current students.
I teach a range of singers from ages 6 to 92, all of whom are interested in singing for different reasons. Some are progressing through ABRSM examinations, others through LCM Music Theatre and Pop exams. Others are studying for diplomas or concerts, some need help learning music for the choirs they sing in, and others come out of intrigue to discover what they can do.
Do you have a personal message for students?
My approach is entirely based on your individual needs, and guarantees to introduce an easier and more natural process of singing. Singing is a study for me, not just a career, and I am fascinated by the questions and ideas people bring to their lessons.
