Personal Message: I am a freelance violinist based in Fallowfield and have lots of experience of teaching both the violin and general music to students of all ages.
Which subject(s) do you teach?: Although my main instrument is the violin I also specialise in providing music lessons for the under fives which includes using percussion instruments, singing and learning the principles of music through movement.
Tell me about your qualifications.: Grade 8 Distinction

BMus Honours (2.1) - Royal Northern College of Music

Certificate in Early Years Music and Movement (Distinction) - Canterbury Christ Church University and the Dalcroze Society

Postgraduate Certificate in Early Childhood Studies - Manchester Metropolitan University
What kind of experience do you have?: I have had lots of teaching experience with both individual and group lessons, and have been employed by the Scottish Schools Trust and Pro Corda on their residential music courses. I have also worked for Special Virtuosi, a music class and orchestra for children and adults with special needs, since 2008.

In addition to my teaching I also perform with various orchestras and run my own string quartet business (www.thedottedcrotchets.co.uk).
How much do you charge?: Fee (30 minutes): £12.00
Fee (60 minutes): £20.00

A small fee may apply for travel and a discount may be applicable for group lessons.
Where do you teach?: I am based in Fallowfield and although I have a car and am able to travel, I prefer to teach from home in my dedicated music room.
When are you available?: As a freelance violinist my timetable is flexible so we should be able to find a time that is convenient for both of us.
Which ages and levels do you teach?: I am able to teach all ages from beginner to advanced level.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?: I hold a valid CRB disclosure certificate.
