Tell me about your qualifications.: Two years ago I graduated from University College of London (UCL) in Psychology (BSc 2:1 (Hons)). Following this I spent one year working in a corporate Public Relations consultancy before undertaking my PGCE with Canterbury Christchurch University, which I passed with distinction. A TeachFirst graduate, I have already completed two years of teaching whilst completing my PGCE and Masters in Education. In addition I have four A-levels at A grade in English Literature and Language, Psychology, Geography and Government and Politics. I am an experienced tutor and teacher, supporting all my pupils in making accelerated progress to ensure they meet their fullest potential and have the best opportunities in life.
What kind of experience do you have?: As aforementioned I have already spent two years teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4 in a Secondary School. Additional responsibilities have included literacy across the curriculum and accelerated progression for Gifted and Talented students. I have now been promoted to KS3 coordinator. Prior to teaching I spent time tutoring pupils through a University community programme in local secondary schools and have had great success in raising attainment levels in English, particularly for struggling students. I have also had several informal tutoring experiences prior to this. I am an experienced essay writer and my particular strengths lie in English language and Media, as well as Literature studies.

I am prepared to travel further into Central and Outer London as well as further into Essex, however they may be an additional travel charge.
Where do you teach?: I prefer to teach at students' homes but can teach at my own home. Locations close to me include: Loughton, Epping, Chigwell, Woodford, Abridge, Ongar, Enfield, Ilford, Romford, Bethnal Green, Bow, Liverpool Street and Islington.
When are you available?: I am available evening and weekends as well as school holidays.
Which ages and levels do you teach?: I enjoy teaching across all the Key Stages 3 - 5 (11-18 years).
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?: Yes, I have an up to date CRB since January 2011.
