Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach both the Flute and Piccolo.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a Bachelor of Music Performance degree from the Sydney Conservatorium with first class Honours and a Masters of Music degree from the Royal College of Music, London. In 2003 I was awarded my Associate of Music diploma (AmusA) from the Australian Music Examinations Board.
What kind of experience do you have?
I have six years teaching experience through tutoring in schools, through private tuition and at band camps. In addition to this, I also have experience in tutoring wind sectionals and flute choirs throughout Sydney. I have performed as a guest principal flute with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta in 2011 as well as with with such orchestras as Sydney Youth Orchestra and SBS Radio and Television Orchestra, in venues including the Sydney Opera House and Angel Place Recital Hall. I have performed in The Macdonald Performing Arts Challenge, gaining first prize in the flute division in 2009. I have also performed in the NSW Flute Society Eisteddfod, gaining first prizes in 2001-2003 for solo performances, 2004 for the Chamber Music Division and in 2008 for the open championship division.
How much do you charge?
I charge 12.50 for a half hour lesson and 25 pounds for an hour.
My fee is 28.00 an hour for home visits.
Where do you teach?
I teach at home in West Kensington. My flat is a one minute walk across the road from West Kensington tube station (district line) and a five minute walk from Baron's Court tube station (Piccadilly line). I am happy to travel to teach if need be.
When are you available?
My schedule is quite flexible - weekday afternoons and weekends are best, but times can be negotiated.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I have taught flute to students of varying ages and standards, so my teaching style is very adaptable - whether it be a beginner or a more experienced student. I am also happy to teach all styles of music - whether it be for ABRSM exams, or just for fun.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?

Where and with whom did you train?
I trained at the Sydney Conservatorium with James Kortum and with Simon Channing and Katie Bedford at the Royal College of Music. I have previously learned from or had lessons with: Jocelyn Fazzone, Rose Plummer, Margaret Crawford and Adrienne Byrnes.
