I teach Japanese.

I teach at either my home address in West Bridgford or at a convenient cafe in Nottingham City Centre for students who are unable to travel to my home address.

G.C.S.E, A-Level and the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.

Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
No.

Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I can teach online via skype. For online students it is necessary to have access to Skype and online students may be asked to buy a specific textbook. Payments for online lessons can be made via a bank transfer prior to the lesson.

Where and with whom did you train?
I trained at the Institute of International Education in London.

Tell me about some of your current students.
I teach a variety of students ranging from a student who is currently studying for his G.C.S.E. in Japanese to a student who has recently left to work in Japan for 6 months on business. I also teach several students who study Japanese simply because they enjoy the language and culture and travel regularly to Japan.

Do you have a personal message for students?
Studying Japanese can be a daunting task but it can be an extremely enjoyable language to learn. I prepare each lesson according to the particular needs of each student and use visual aids to accommodate different learnign styles. I believe in a focus on grammar so that students are able to build sentences and communicate in Japanese from the outset. I set regular homework (if you want them!) to ensure that learning between classes continues and that students are getting the best possible value for their money.
