Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Science, Geography and Geology at secondary level.
Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a 2:1 Bachelor's (with Honours) degree in geography and have just passed a PGCE in Secondary Science with merit.
What kind of experience do you have?
I am currently working as a supply teacher at Plymouth high School for Girls.I have also had work placements in many secondary and primary schools in my local city. I have also completed the Students Associates Scheme and I have also worked as a Teaching Assistant offering one-to-one support. I have taught from many different syllabuses including Salter's, OCR, AQA and 21st Century Science.
How much do you charge?
I charge £15 an hour although I am open to discounts for group lessons, multi subjects and online tutoring. Travel costs will be added dependant on how far away the student lives.
Where do you teach?
I would prefer to teach at students' homes in and around the Plymouth area, including East Cornwall and Ivybridge.
When are you available?
I am available at weekends and evenings (arranged at time of booking). In the school holidays I am able to be more flexible.
Which ages and levels do you teach?
I will teach KS2 basic science and science right up until age 16. I will teach Geography right up until age 18.
Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
I have a CRB disclosure certificate purchased for supply and freelance teaching.
Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I can do direct tutoring via an instant messaging service or via email.
Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I belong to the NASUWT and NUT.

University College of Plymouth, St. Mark and St. John under Mrs Elizabeth Coleman.
Tell me about some of your current students.
I am currently tutoring three students (in Plymouth and Ivybridge) in GCSE Science, helping them with their modular exams, retakes and revision skills.
Do you have a personal message for students?
I am happy to offer long term or short term help to work alongside your current education at school. I am available to answer questions or coach through essays and units. I can also help with revising and revision techniques. I always do a learning style test to check which learning style you have. This means I can personalise your learning.
