- Clarinet or The Japanese Language tutor needed? All skill levels and ages welcome!
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
- I have taught clarinetists of any skills and ages (also experienced as a group tutor), and as good examples I have made three students get into music schools in the UK, and helped them gain 'A' in Music A-Levels.
I am also ready to help for your ABRSM exams if you need, and OF COURSE I enjoy teaching someone who just wants to have fun playing this amazing instrument SO MUCH.
For the Japanese language, I have taught several non Japanese people, also preparation for various exams available. - Tell me about your qualifications.
- I completed his BMus degree with honours as a scholar at the Royal College of Music in London in 2011 and is currently active as a freelance musician.
- What kind of experience do you have?
- I have won numerous prizes and awards, including Gold Medal at a National Woodwind/Brass Competition in my native city Sapporo at the age of 16, and Gold Medal at the International Marlow Music Festival in the UK at the age of 23.
I will make his London concerto début at St. Martin-in-the-Fields in summer 2013, and have extensively performed both as a soloist and chamber musician in London and Sapporo. - How much do you charge?

£30 for an hour
£25 for 45 minutes
£20 for half an hour - Where do you teach?
- I am willing to travel anywhere inside Zone 4 in London, but exceptions can be made (extra travel expense might occur).
- When are you available?
- It is quite flexible, we can arrange the date and time after every lesson.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
- Any level and age would be welcomed.
I would be really happy to teach anyone from beginners to those aiming towards grades or exams at school. - Do you have an up-to-date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate?
- No.
- Where and with whom did you train?
- My teachers have included Nobuhiro Koroku (Former Principal of Sapporo Symphony Orchestra), Robert Hill (Principal of London Philharmonic Orchestra), Timothy Lines (Former Co-Principal of London Symphony Orchestra) and renowned clarinetist Janet Hilton.
I have drawn further inspiration from Mark van de Wiel (Principal of Philharmonia Orchestra) and renowned clarinetist Joan Enric Lluna in various masterclasses.
