Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach both Chinese and English to non-native speakers at university level and give advice to students in English essay writing. Part of my teaching is to teach students communication skills and how to make presentations, which is also what I researched on for my MA. Now I am doing my PhD in the University of Leeds, looking at teaching communication skills to medical students in medical consultation. This is a project funded by NHS.

How much do you charge?
The charges I have included above are all the minimum price per hour and may increase depending on the size of the group. There is no extra charge for travel within Leeds.

Where do you teach?
I can teach either at my home or students' homes. I live in Leeds and travel around the city. I can also travel to neighbouring regions such as Huddersfield, Halifax, Bradford, Dewsbury etc., for which extra 15 pounds is charged for each travel.

When are you available?
I can discuss this with the client.

Which ages and levels do you teach?
I can teach Chinese to students ranging from primary school children to adults. I can proofread for and give advice to university students in relevant subjects.

Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
Powerpoint and reading materials will be available for each week's teaching. Homework will be given according to different subjects and levels. Feedback is also given and students are free to contact me at a certain time each week either by email or phone.

Where and with whom did you train?
I have taught Chinese and English in Yunnan Normal University and Yunnan Arts Institute. My students of the Chinese language were mainly from Europe while my students of English were at under- and postgraduate levels.

What kind of experience do you have?
I have rich experience in teaching Chinese and English to non-native speakers and also in translating and interpreting for high level international events, which has been informing my knowledge about communication and presentation and benefiting my teaching. When I was in university I won championships in English Speaking Contests at various levels.

I am currently working with the University Modern Language Centre to conduct Chinese Language and Culture Workshops.
